Saint Pierre, Saint Pierre Island, Saint Pierre et Miquelon: the Monument aux Morts in Saint Pierre, Saint Pierre and Miquelon, is a war memorial dedicated to the residents of the archipelago who lost their lives in military service, particularly during World War I and World War II. Unveiled in June 1923 The monument features a classical structure with an obelisk and inscriptions of the names of the fallen. Like similar memorials throughout France, it serves as a site for official commemorations, especially on Armistice Day and other national remembrance events. The monument underscores the archipelago’s historical connection to France and its participation in major conflicts despite its remote location. \
Saint Pierre, Saint Pierre Island, Saint Pierre et Miquelon: a buoy tender is a specialized type of naval or coast guard vessel designed for the express purpose of maintaining aids to navigation. Its primary mission is to deploy, service, retrieve, and replace the buoys that mark channels, hazards, and safe passages for maritime traffic. To accomplish this, these vessels are equipped with cranes, powerful winches, and a open working deck, to handle the weight and bulk of the buoys and their mooring systems, which include heavy chains and concrete sinkers. The hull is typically designed for exceptional stability to counteract the significant list and trim changes that occur during heavy lifting operations, often in challenging sea conditions. Buoy tenders are essential for ensuring maritime safety and are operated by maritime authorities worldwide to keep shipping lanes accurately marked and operational.

Miquelon, Miquelon Island, Saint Pierre et Miquelon: Notre-Dame-des-Ardilliers Church in Miquelon is the main religious building on the island of Miquelon in the French archipelago of Saint Pierre and Miquelon. Built entirely of wood between 1862 and 1865 to replace an earlier church, it has a rectangular plan topped with a gabled roof and a bell tower at the pediment. Inaugurated in 1865, it takes its name from Father Ardilliers and his sister, the nun of Notre-Dame-des-Ardilliers in Saumur, who contributed financially to the construction of the first church in Miquelon. Located near the port of the village of Miquelon in the north of the commune of Miquelon-Langlade, this Catholic church was consolidated at the beginning of the 20th century and has been under the jurisdiction of the diocese of La Rochelle and Saintes since 2018, following the abolition of the apostolic vicariate of Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon.
Saint Pierre, Saint Pierre Island, Saint Pierre et Miquelon: the Batterie de la Pointe aux Canons was a fort on Saint-Pierre Island built by the French to protect the archipelago from English raids between 1690 and 1713. The original battery, equipped with six cannons, was destroyed by the English during the 1702 Newfoundland expedition. It was later replaced in the 19th century to defend the islands during the Crimean War. Today, the site features four cannons open to the public, and the nearby Pointe aux Canons Lighthouse stands on a jetty extending from the original battery location. Urban expansion has erased the last remains of the fort's walls. 'Ile aux Marins', the sailors' island in the background

Miquelon, Miquelon Island, Saint Pierre et Miquelon: French flag with yellow star, the flag of Acadia, a French colonial territory in northeastern North America, established in the early 17th century and centered around present-day Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and parts of Maine. It was one of the earliest French settlements on the continent, with Port-Royal (founded in 1605) serving as a key administrative and cultural center. The region was contested between France and Britain throughout the 17th and 18th centuries, culminating in the British conquest of Acadia in 1710. Following this, many Acadians remained under British rule until the Great Expulsion (Le Grand Dérangement) began in 1755, when thousands were forcibly deported by the British. Some of the displaced Acadians later settled in Louisiana, where their descendants became known as Cajuns. Acadia’s legacy persists in the cultural identity, language, and heritage of its communities across the Maritime Provinces and beyond.

Saint Pierre, Saint Pierre Island, Saint Pierre et Miquelon: a slipway, also known as a marine railway or a patent slip, is a structure used for moving vessels between the water and dry land. It consists of an inclined ramp with rails that extend from the shore into the water, upon which a wheeled cradle or carriage runs. To bring a vessel ashore, the cradle is lowered down the rails until it is submerged, allowing the vessel to be floated into position and secured. A powerful winch and cable system then pulls the cradle up the incline, carrying the vessel completely out of the water. This method provides access to the hull for construction, maintenance, repair, or storage, serving as a common alternative to a dry dock, particularly for small to medium-sized ships and boats.

Saint Pierre, Saint Pierre Island, Saint Pierre et Miquelon: view of the the capital and largest town of the French overseas collectivity of Saint Pierre and Miquelon, located off the southern coast of Newfoundland, Canada. It serves as the administrative, commercial, and cultural center of the archipelago, and is home to the majority of its population. The town reflects a strong French identity, with architecture, language, and institutions closely aligned with those of metropolitan France. Fishing, especially for cod and crab, remains an important economic activity, alongside public administration and services. The port of Saint-Pierre also plays a key role in regional maritime transport and supply. Point aux Canons Lighthouse (Phare de la Pointe aux Canons) is a historic navigational beacon located on a jetty at the entrance to the harbour. Constructed in 1861–62 at the request of the then‑governor, the octagonal  tower stands approximately 11 m tall, painted white with a red horizontal band, topped by a red lantern and gallery.

As the central hub for the territory's postal service, which has a rich history dating back to the issuance of its first stamps in 1885, the post office holds a significant place in the cultural and social fabric of the archipelago. Its location on the town's main square, a focal point for community life and events, further underscores its importance.
