Miquelon, Miquelon Island, Saint Pierre et Miquelon: Notre-Dame-des-Ardilliers Church in Miquelon is the main religious building on the island of Miquelon in the French archipelago of Saint Pierre and Miquelon. Built entirely of wood between 1862 and 1865 to replace an earlier church, it has a rectangular plan topped with a gabled roof and a bell tower at the pediment. Inaugurated in 1865, it takes its name from Father Ardilliers and his sister, the nun of Notre-Dame-des-Ardilliers in Saumur, who contributed financially to the construction of the first church in Miquelon.
